Windsor Visit!

Okay so I know its been a couple of weeks since I visited newlyweds Lorna and Luke in Windsor, and I thank my many readers (snort!) for waiting so patiently to read my report!

Windsor happens to be one of the most charming places on earth, full of coffee shops (including Starbucks), antique shops, craft shops, a place that makes the most amazing fudge ever! Lorna and Luke have the most adorable flat too, and after three mornings of Luke's amazing coffee I was in heaven! Honestly I wouldn't mind living there myself if I could control my urge to spend money. So to protect my bank account I'll remain in Tralee for now!

Windsor happens to be the home of Windsor Castle, hence the name! It's the residence of the queen from time to time, but she wasn't home! This is the pathway leading up to the castle where we met with many happy joggers, and tourists! We took the short cut running across the grass like naughty children!

Shadows!!

You can't really tell from this picture but the castle is huge!

Aww man! They take the fun out of everything!

We stumbled upon this adorable little church, that is quite literally built on the graves of its past congregations. Taking a walk inside was like taking a walk through history.

We stopped for lunch at this place called the Crooked House, which was actually crooked! Inside you felt like you had a mild case of vertigo! But it was a precious little place, and we spent the majority of the day there ( just under two hours I imagine). It was just too adorable to leave!

As well as providing a good dose of adorable, the Crooked House also had the most amazing, specially imported coffee! Starbucks couldn't even rival this rich Indonesian Mocha! Happiness!

The following day was spent doing what girls do best; shopping!! But we had enough time to stop at Starbucks, just after visiting an antique book shop where I purchased this book of Jane Austen's letters to her sister!

            My adorable friend!

Thanks Lorna and Luke for an amazing time!

  3. How delightful! I need to convince Steve that we should visit you all. But that won't be a whole lot of work I don't think.
